In mid January, I met up with Jill and Tom at Steele Mansion in Painesville for their winter engagement session. In just a few short months, the two of them will be getting married at the very same location! The building was built in 1867 and was recently renovated into a hotel after a fire had destroyed much of the original building.
We began with some quick portraits in front and behind the mansion. Even though it was chilly out, the lighting was beautiful and Jill and Tom toughed it out! After that, we warmed up inside the hotel. It was so much fun to explore the beautiful, ornate, and labyrinthine rooms, and there were even a pair of Coney Island carousel horses in the basement!
