In early October, I had the pleasure of photographing Christina and Liz’s beautiful 1920s themed wedding at Landerhaven. Christina and Liz’s engagement session downtown at the Union Club was already one of my all-time favorite sessions, so I was so excited to see all of their plans come together for their big day!
We began the afternoon at the Staybridge Suites Hotel across from Landerhaven. Nicole assisted for the day, and she photographed Christina getting ready while I focused on Liz. There were so many hand-crafted details throughout the day, ranging from Christina and Liz's sweet gifts to each other, all the way to personalized "do not disturb" signs for their guests' hotel rooms! After both brides were ready, we staged the first look just next to their ceremony site at Landerhaven. After a sweet, excited moment seeing each other for the first time, we began portraits with their friends and family. Christina and Liz were drawn to the art deco feel that much of Landerhaven has, so we had lots of fun exploring the grounds in beautiful golden hour light. Christina and Liz's ceremony was full of both laughter and tears, and afterwards the reception began with a cocktail hour followed by dinner. As the evening drew to a close, we couldn't resist sneaking outside for some sparkler photos!
Christina and Liz are incredibly kind and genuine, and after talking with them for just a few moments, it feels like you have known them a lifetime. They put immense effort and planning into their wedding, and I am so excited to share some favorite images below. Congratulations to them both!
