Bethany and Brett got married on a beautiful spring day in late June, and it was one of the sweetest, most personal weddings I have photographed. Surrounded by their family and friends, the two of them tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Parkside Church, followed by a celebration at the Chagrin Valley Athletic Club in Bainbridge. There were so many special heartfelt touches throughout the day, from Bethany wearing her mother's wedding gown, to Brett singing a medley of love songs to Bethany at the beginning of their reception. That is true love! The only disagreement between the two lies in their Michigan vs. Ohio State football allegiances, which were manifested just about everywhere one looked throughout the day!
We began the day at Parkside Church, where Bethany and Brett got dressed and prepared for the ceremony. My friend Melissa joined me for the day as a second photographer and we began with portraits of Bethany and Brett's sides separately before their ceremony led by Pastor Begg. After that, we headed to the Chagrin Valley Athletic Club, taking advantage of its beautiful gardens and gazebo for portraits. Then the reception began, complete with square dancing, singing, and a cake in the shape of both the Ohio State Shoe and Michigan Stadium! Mitchell's Ice Cream even made Bethany and Brett's favorite ice cream flavor- white chocolate- just for them, even though it usually is only available on Valentines Day.
Congratulations to Bethany and Brett on their new marriage!
