Katie and Michael tied the knot on the first day of July, and their wedding day in downtown Cleveland was sincere, fun, and so full of love! Katie and Michael live in Boston, but wanted to celebrate Michael's Cleveland roots by getting married in Ohio. Their day ended up being one of the hottest days of the year, but you wouldn't know it from looking at the pictures!
Claire joined me for the day as second photographer, and we each began the day by capturing Katie and Michael as they got ready separately at the Aloft hotel. We used the nearby roof of the adjoining Ernst & Young Tower for Katie and Michael's first look, and it couldn't have been a more perfect setting, surrounded by skyline and lakefront views in all directions. From there, we paused for a quick photo in front of the Rapid train as it passed by, then went to the West Bank of the Flats for additional portraits. Katie and Michael opted not to have a bridal party, which made it quick and easy to drive to and visit lots of different spots in a short amount of time, like the Center Street Bridge and Heritage Park.
After portraits, we headed back to the Ernst & Young Tower for Katie and Michael's rooftop ceremony, followed by cocktail hour at Aloft. After cocktail hour, Katie and Michael's reception kicked off with the most incredible Hora I have ever seen, performed by Yiddishe Cup! Just about every guest was on the dance floor celebrating for a full 30 minutes of Hava Nagila. After that, the party continued with toasts, dinner, more dancing, and even a parachute! Katie and Michael's reception didn't have a dull moment, and everyone there was so clearly full of love and excitement for the two of them. Mazel tov, Katie and Michael!
