The D Family: Portrait Session at the Ohio Union in Columbus, Ohio

I have known Elisa since high school, and it has been such an honor to photograph her daughter Zoe twice in the last year! Zoe just turned one year old, and is just beginning to walk and talk. It is so incredible to think back to the last session I did with her, where she was just starting to sit up. Elisa and her husband Matt opted to do a family session at the Ohio Union at The Ohio State University, since they both went to school there and since taking pictures outside in January with a toddler wasn't too appealing! 

We started on the main floor of the union with some photographs in the midst of the bustle, then headed upstairs to a quieter area where Zoe, Elisa, and Matt read books together and helped Zoe practice walking. I even got to show Zoe a few pictures of herself on the back of my camera, which was so heartwarming. After spending some time upstairs, we headed outside for some quick shots before it got dark.
