Alexis and Jason got married at Landerhaven on Labor Day weekend, and it was such an honor and pleasure to capture their day! Alexis first called me about wedding photography after seeing some of my work online, but as soon as we met in person, we realized that we had actually grown up on the same street in Solon and had played together as children. What a small world! It was so fun to reconnect with her throughout the planning process and to meet Jason and their friends and family during a day of such celebration.
The day began at Landerhaven as Alexis and her bridal party got ready. There were so many thoughtful details everywhere, including customized robes for everyone, even for the flower girl Samantha. Once hair and makeup was finished, Alexis and Jason had their first look outside before beginning portraits with their bridal party. Alexis and Jason had a beautiful interfaith ceremony, including both Jewish and Christian elements, and afterward we did family portraits in the garden nearby.
Alexis and Jason's reception was in the Lander Room at Landerhaven, and they decked it out like I have never seen before! Every detail was present, with lots of extra personalized touches everywhere, such as a custom ice luge and even Russian caviar. Dinner began with speaches by Alexis' father Alex, Jason's father Austin (Carr!!), the best man, maid of honor, and matron of honor. After dinner, Big Mucci (!!) dropped by to lead the Cleveland Shuffle. (So many big name guests, I was a little star struck!) Hava Nagila followed with lots more dancing and celebration throughout the rest of the night.
Congratulations to Alexis and Jason, and happy two-week anniversary!
