Abby & Brandon: Hindu Wedding in Middleburg Heights and the Metropolitan at the 9

Abby and Brandon tied the knot in late October, and theirs was a wedding I had been looking forward to for some time! Abby and Brandon met in high school French class and have been together for 10 years. Their two-day wedding brought together multiple cultures and styles, and also two very different sides of Cleveland. Abby and Brandon's backyard Hindu ceremony in Middleburg Heights highlighted family ties and Brandon's Indian heritage, whereas their chic reception the next day at the Metropolitan at the 9 showcased the sophistication of downtown Cleveland.

I began Friday at Brandon's parents house in Middleburg Heights as Abby and her bridal party got dressed. Every detail was carefully thought out, from the gorgeous decorations filling the ceremony tent and mandap inside it, to Abby's intricate jewelry and henna tattoos. As Abby finished getting ready, Brandon and his groomsmen arrived in style with his baraat- a line of decorated cars, with music blasting! After his arrival, guests headed to the backyard for Abby and Brandon's traditional ceremony, which was followed by a delicious lunch (all made by Brandon's family!) and portraits.

The next day, my assistant Michael and I headed downtown for Abby and Brandon's second day of festivities. We began the day separately as Abby and Brandon got ready at the Metropolitan at the 9, then set up their first look on the rooftop overlooking downtown Cleveland. After their first look and a few images on the roof, we headed back inside to shelter from the impending rain and wind. We did family and bridal portraits in the Cleveland Trust Rotunda overlooking Heinen's, as well as downstairs in the old bank vaults of the Cleveland Trust Bank. Abby and Brandon's reception then kicked off with cocktail hour and toasts, followed by dinner and lots of dancing! Congratulations to these two!!
