We had been hoping for snow for Janelle and Josh's January engagement session in Brecksville, but...Ohio. After a few weeks of rescheduling and trying to time it just right for a snow storm, we finally gave up and went for it on a chilly Sunday afternoon with a few flurries forecasted. At the end of the day though, snowy backdrops are a lot less important than the people in the images. And Janelle and Josh are two awesome people! It was so fun to officially meet them both after speaking on the phone, and they were both naturals in front of the camera! (Josh is a photographer himself too!)
We began the afternoon at Station Road Bridge next to the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad station stop, then drove to the Chippewa Creek Gorge for some more images amongst the pine trees of the Brecksville Reservation. Though we didn't have much snow on the ground, we did get some intermittent snowflakes falling, especially towards the end. (I also scooped up some snow in the morning before it melted and brought it for a few ring shots. Anything for the white stuff!) Janelle and Josh were so fun and easy to work with, and they were troopers with the cold! I can't wait for their wedding in October!
