Maddie and Evan live in Chicago but opted to tie the knot in Columbus, where Maddie grew up. After postponing their wedding for over a year due to the pandemic and then finding themselves dealing with increasing covid case numbers this summer, Maddie and Evan decided to make vaccinations a requirement for their wedding guests in order to ensure safety as best as possible. (PSA: Get vaccinated if you haven't yet- please!) These two had their work cut out for them in terms of planning, and when it finally came to their wedding day, they so deserved to kick back, celebrate, and soak in the time with friends and family.
My assistant Abel and I began the day as Maddie and Evan got ready separately at two Airbnbs in German Village. Maddie headed to the Grange Insurance Audubon Center to finish getting dressed, and afterward her and Evan's first look took place just outside the visitor's center next to Scioto Audubon Metro Park. We then did portraits with their wedding party near the park's bike trail. Maddie and Evan's ceremony took place in the park in the late afternoon, and family portraits and cocktail hour followed shortly afterward. Maddie and Evan's reception at the Audubon Centerfeatured four heartfelt toasts, a delicious meal and cake, and lots of nighttime dancing outside under the stars. We were also sure to step outside for a few minutes for a few last portraits in the tall grass as the sun set.
Mazel tov, Maddie and Evan! Below are a few favorites from this incredible day!
