From their engagement session last fall to their wedding over Labor Day Weekend, Grace and Gabe have been such a joy to work with! These two went on their first date in April of 2020, and built a lasting relationship throughout the challenges of the pandemic. Now, over two years later, they got to celebrate their love for each other surrounded by family and friends!
My assistant Sammy and I began the day separately as Grace got ready at her parents' home in Broadview Heights and Gabe got ready in Peninsula. We then traveled to Church of the Assumption in Broadview Heights where Grace did a quick first look with her father before their Catholic ceremony began. Following the ceremony, Grace and Gabe did a bubble exit from the church followed by family portraits in the sanctuary. We then traveled to the Chippewa Creek Gorge and Chippewa Creek areas in nearby Brecksville Reservation for wedding party portraits. I most often shoot at the Station Road Bridge area of this park, so going to these different areas was a fun change of pace! It was a hot and sunny afternoon, but we made it through (and a few a/c breaks in their party bus didn't hurt either!)
After portraits, we drove to Woodside Event Center at St. Michael's for Grace and Gabe's reception. Their party featured beautiful fall decorations, hilarious toasts, surprise Ohio State and Soulja Boy themed parent dances, and a packed dance floor. Just before I left, we snuck outside for a few last night portraits.
Congratulations to Grace and Gabe! I'm so happy for you both!
