Proposals are always one of my favorite events to photograph- they are exciting, full of emotion, and it's so fun to be a part of the planning process behind the scenes- something I don't usually get to do for weddings or other events! 

John planned a getaway to Gervasi Vineyard for himself and Samantha, and just before dinner on their first night there, he took her on a walk along the lake to the stone archway. Since it was a Monday night the area was very quiet and they had the place practically to themselves, though it did make it a bit more challenging for me to be inconspicuous beforehand! John could barely wait to ask Samantha to marry him, however, and soon it was official and I was able to formally introduce myself. We then took some time to explore and grab some engagement portraits. Samantha could barely stop looking at her new ring, and she and John couldn't stop from kissing every chance they got.
