I have known Melissa for several years- she is both a friend and fellow teacher at Worthington, so it was such an honor when she asked me to take her family holiday portraits this winter. She and her husband Jim have two great kids: Curran, who just began high school this year, and Ryan, who is in middle school. We decided to go to Schiller Park in German Village, since the trees weren't looking too great anymore but there is a lot of interesting architecture there to make up for it. The park was also where Ryan had participated in a summer theater camp, which gave it a personal touch.

It was freezing cold and rainy, but Melissa, Jim, Curran, and Ryan were great sports in exploring the park and doing a variety of shots (in between warming up in the car, of course!). Here are a few favorites below!
